Autumn Danielle Seguin was born in Maryland, six very short blocks from where the Susquehanna meets the Chesapeake. She was raised by a pack of wolves a few miles away. Bombs went off every day. In August 1993 she split Route 136 for Alfred, New York, with the clear aim of becoming a glassblower. A few things happened; she moved to New Paltz in 1996, trading the study of glass for the study of metal while making glass work. She graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 1999 with a Bachelor of Fine Art. There was no serious critique, but someone who attended the show shed a tear and said she was beautiful, so that was nice. Crisscrossing the river between Ulster and Dutchess counties during the next six years, she one day heard the city calling and followed its voice to the best job on earth. More things changed; New York’s Hudson Valley insisted she return. She has since resided in the region, except for when her multiple personalities find themselves living on the internet.
